The tenor Clemens C Löschmann was born in Berlin where he studied with Professor Johannes Hoefflin at the academy of music and received advanced training by Aribert Reimann and Dietrich FischerDieskau.
He was awarded scholarships from the GotthardtSchierseStiftung, the Komische Oper Berlin and the RichardWagnerStiftung.
Clemens C Löschmann has performed in numerous productions of prestigious opera companies including Berlin, Hamburg, Vienna and Zurich.
Clemens C Löschmann has been engaged at the opera house in Bremen and has worked as a guest artist at internationally renowned opera houses including the Komische Oper Berlin, the Oper Frankfurt/Main, the Royal Opera House Covent Garden in London, the Teatro Carlo Felice in Genua and the Gran Teatre del Liceu in Barcelona.
As a soloist tenor, in classic and contemporary oratorio and concert repertoire, Clemens C Löschmann is in great demand for all major parts.
The great evangelist and tenor parts of Bach cantatas and oratorios are an anchor of his concert repertoire.
Besides the classic liedrepertoire Clemens C Löschmann has dedicated himself to contemporary compositions within his recitals.
In 2007 Clemens Löschmann sang the leading role of the tenor/narrator in Hafliði Hallgrímsson’s opera 'DIE WÄLT DER ZWISCHENFÄLLE’ in Háskólabíó in Reykjavík. He also performed the in the worldpremiere in 2004 in Lübeck, Germany and in Vienna, Austria, in 2005
He has toured extensively through Europe.
He is active in radio, television and CD productions as well as bringing compositions in life in first performances.
Clemens C Löschmann currently teaches in Bremen, having held a position at the Bremen academy of music. In 2007 Clemens Löschmann sang in Tónleikar í Háskólabíói Reykjavik the leading role of the tenor/narrator in Haflidi Hallgrímssons opera 'DIE WÄLT DER ZWISCHENFÄLLE‘,
