Steinunn Arnbjörg Stefánsdóttir
Steinunn started early playing the cello. She graduated from the Reykjavík Music College in 2000 and from there on went to France where she studied with Michel Strauss, Christophe Coine and Bruno Cocset. She graduated with distinction from the Paris Conservatory in 2006. Since then she has played with many baroque and chamber groups in France and in Iceland. She co-founded the chamber group Corpo di Strumenti along with Maturin Matharel and Brice Sailly that has performed regularly in France and in Iceland. Steinunn was one of the founding members of the great chamber group Ísafold that specialised in performing classical music from the 20th century.
